A perfect day selected with the perfect destination and everything in-between! The day started off with the collection by one of our Tusk Drivers provided by Tusk Transfer and Tours.
The 13 Delegates eagerly posed for a “before pic” and could not wait to get into their tour vehicle.
Naturally at 9am we were greeted by Cape Town traffic, but had a much exited group talking about what was planned for the day.
We briefly went off course for a scenic stop at Maidens Cove. It was truly an amazing site.
The delegates had a quick snack, provided by Tusk Promo Sales, and could soak in the scenic beauty our Cape Peninsula had on offer.

The route to Hout Bay left us breathless at every corner and so we decided to stop for lunch at the historic Fish on the Rocks. Beautiful, scenic and majestic was the only way to describe the our surroundings. Lunch was done in a typical Cape Town style Fish, Calamari and Chips.
En Route to Monkey Valley we had to go over Chapman’s Peak and could not avoid the temptation to take another group photo!
On arrival we were quickly booked into our wooden lodges. Monkey Valley is an absolute gem and definitely got taken away from Knysna when we had continent separation millions of years ago.
The team assembled for activities on the beach. All taking part! I also got pulled into a beach cricket match and loved every minute of it.
I Had to cool off my feet afterwards.
We returned to the resort and went straight into a sound experience with Johan. Musical instruments from all over the world were used. It was eargasmic!
After a long day, nothing could be better than to end off our day with a Cocktail Making (Googling) Session and a Braai for supper.
The happy team told old stories and new stories at the bonfire till late that evening.
We were treated to awesome buffet breakfast the next morning after an amazing nights rest in paradise,
after which the Petroleum Agency team were greeted with a final shot at “Minute-to-Win-it” brought to us by the Tusk Event Management crew.
2 Teams with a number of activities. It was truly action packed! Serious contenders for the real show!
It was really difficult to leave Monkey Valley, but I left with a smiling face knowing that I will be back soon. This is a must go place. The food is good, the service is good, the ambience is GREAT and overall a FANTASTIC place to break away for a 2-day conference or team building activity!
